Ryan is a rare Colorado native, born and raised in Arvada. He attended The University of Denver and earned a degree in Finance. Since 2000, his financial planning skills have been honed by doing thousands of plans for clients. One of his true passions is making all aspects of the planning pieces work together in tandem and seeing a successful plan executed over the years.
Ryan began his career in the financial industry in 1997 with an internship at a multi-national brokerage firm. Upon entering the industry, he then ran the financial planning department for a different multi-regional firm helping develop and oversee the preparation of financial plans for all the firm’s advisors. Ryan then went on to become a CFP license holder in 2005 and has cultivated his knowledge over his 20 plus years of industry experience into co-founding his own firm. Along with Michael, who he met on the job and worked with since May 2000. They founded Tandem Financial with the focus and goal of helping clients regardless of their net worth with an emphasis on financial planning and wealth management.
Ryan is married to Jamie, also a Colorado native and they have two boys, Brennan and Logan. Jamie works at Children’s Hospital Colorado in the Learning Services Department as a learning specialist. Ryan loves being with his family, playing Lacrosse with his sons and spending weekends in the mountains skiing and enjoying the outdoors. Ryan’s favorite vacation is to the beach where he can enjoy the ocean and sun!

Michael was born in Alexandria, Louisiana and grew up an Air Force brat. The Air Force had his family moving around, starting in Louisiana, Panama in Central America, and Kansas. His family spent time vacationing in Colorado which is where his love for the state began. He graduated with a degree in Psychology from Louisiana College. Driven by an inherent desire to help others, he spent several years post-college working with at-risk families and homeless children. Pulled by his passion for helping people, Michael chose to move into the financial services industry in late 1999.
Michael began his career in the financial industry in 1999. He and Ryan worked together for almost 18 years at another firm before making the difficult, yet rewarding, decision to go out on their own. They co-founded Tandem Financial in March 2018, building on what they considered the most important foundations for any successful business - treating all clients like friends and family; putting others needs before your own; placing a high priority on family; and working with co-workers as a team to collectively serve clients and their needs. The name Tandem Financial really derives its name from its core mission which is to work together, in tandem, with clients to help them achieve their financial goals.
Michael is married to Sue, who grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin. His past is deeply rooted in the South, the SEC, and New Orleans Saints, which is in direct conflict with his wife, who is a Green Bay Packers and Big Ten Fan. He has three children: a daughter Eleigh, a son Evan, and another daughter Sadie. His oldest daughter lives and works in Wichita, Kansas and his son attends Lutheran High in Parker, CO and his other daughter attends school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Michael enjoys many of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, plus time in and around the ocean. He loves fly fishing, rock climbing, riding his Peloton and working out on Tonal.

Pam Dorn was born in Denver, Colorado and is proud to be a native of this great state. After college she met and married her husband and moved to a rural town just east of Denver. There they began their family of 3 girls. They soon moved back to Aurora and raised their daughters there.
In the year 2000, Pam began working in the finance industry with a prestigious wealth management firm in Denver, gaining experience in all aspects of financial health. She gained knowledge and growth which expanded her role to the Chief Compliance Officer as well as the Director of Client Services. Pam has extensive experience in working together with advisors and their clients in a variety of ways to get the best results on the client’s behalf. Working with Tandem Financial as the Client Service Manager is a perfect complement to her building further client relationships.
Pam’s favorite things begin with her family. Spending time with her husband of 39 years is most important followed by time spent with her 3 daughters. Since they live in 3 different states, travel is high on her priority list. She also has 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter (who is an absolute dolly). Pam is the youngest child of 7 siblings, and they meet regularly to play cards, have good food and enjoy each other’s company. Pam also enjoys books, movies, football, baseball and just being outside.

Nissa is a proud Colorado native. She can’t imagine living anywhere else. She grew up in Thornton and graduated from Bennett High School. Shortly after high school Nissa took a temporary position at a trust company in the Tech Center while obtaining her certifications in Desktop Publishing and Graphic Design. This is where Nissa met her husband, Greg (also a Colorado native). Together they raised their daughter who is finishing up her early education degree and teaching the cutest preschoolers in Highlands Ranch.
Nissa left the trust company after scratching the surface of the administrative processes of limited partnerships and annuities. She moved on to a mutual fund company where she spent just shy of 10 years executing all of the back office operational processes and obtaining her administrative assistant license. She spent two years as a Client Services Manager in a downtown financial advisor’s office and then the last 10 years as an Operations Manager at a firm in the tech center.
Nissa has many passions - crafts and pets mostly. When she arrives home, she helps her husband with their pet care business. After all the work is done for the evening, you can find her crocheting, coloring or doing diamond art while watching Netflix. On weekends, she can be found working in her pet grooming salon or driving/riding horses with her parents and daughter. If she’s lucky to have spare time (that she’s not napping through) she’ll be in her home office making use of her vinyl cutter.

Lorie was originally a cowgirl from the great state of Wyoming, a fourth-generation rancher. She earned a degree in History from the University of Wyoming and carried that love of real stories into every part of her life. After raising five children she returned to work at a small RIA in South Denver, where she discovered her true calling. She watched brilliant women handed the financial steering wheel during major life transitions and expected to simply "figure it out". Lorie wanted to be the calm voice and steady guide who could bring clarity and confidence to these women. That purpose inspired her to complete an MBA at Colorado State University and to build a practice where women feel seen, prepared and powerful.
Lorie has spent more than thirteen years in finance, growing through roles in operations leadership and advising. She earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. an MBA, and securities and Colorado insurance licenses. She is currently pursuing both the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst credential. Lorie's experience includes serving at Empower Retirement, where she supported the small to midsize 401k space, and today she channels that expertise into helping women entrepreneurs build and scale with confidence. Her goals are clear: to turn chaos and overwhelm into clarity and peace of mind, to design plans that work in real life, and to ensure every client leads her financial life with confidence - always with a little bit of fun along the way.
Lorie and her husband, David, are proud parents of five children - three sons and two daughters. Their sons, Gabriel, Joshua and Dylan, are all married, giving Laurie two "grand-dogs" but no grandkids just yet. Their daughters, Elizabeth and Samantha, are both in college and are excellent at sparking conversations about empowering young women in money - even if neither seems likely to take Mom's career path. In her free time, Lorie, hosts the Fearless Females podcast, where she spotlights women who are building businesses and lives fearlessly, and she mentors young women as they begin their professional journeys. Lorie loves to read and has a huge booklist tied to her podcast and is always open to new recommendations. She also volunteers with organizations such as Leadership Douglas County and 100 Women Who Care. Lorie loves to travel (always with a color-coded spreadsheet in hand) and enjoys crafting in all its forms. Whether with art or financial planning, she finds joy in creating things that are both beautiful and useful.

Bailey was born and raised in Colorado and grew up in Roxborough. She is an identical twin and the youngest of four sisters (if you count by minutes). After graduating from ThunderRidge High School she began working at Safeway, where she met her husband and eventually transitioned into administrative work.
She began working as an administrative assistant in 2024 and quickly found that she enjoys the detailed, behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running smoothly. She especially likes the onboarding process for new clients and handling the paperwork that supports their financial planning. Looking ahead she plans to pursue her Series 65 license and continuing to support clients on the backend.
Outside of work, she's helping renovate the downstairs apartment she lives in and looks forward to the day when she has enough space to bring home a Mini Schnauzer. She enjoys watching classic movies, going on walks, and reading biographies.
